About

The Teen division of the Miss United Southern States Pageant is designed for contestants who are currently in grades 7th through 10th during the year of the National Pageant.

This division allows young women to showcase their confidence, poise, and stage presence while enjoying a positive and encouraging pageant experience. Contestants compete for the title of Miss Teen United Southern States, along with beautiful awards and recognition.

As with all divisions in our system, contestants are encouraged to have fun on stage, build friendships, and embrace our motto:

“Be Kind. Be Yourself. BeYOUtiful.”

  • 7th Grade: Jr. Teen

  • 8th Grade:  Jr. Teen

  • 9th Grade:  Teen

  • 10th Grade: Teen

From these divisions, two overall winners will be crowned as well as four grade level queens.

Pageant Rules

Makeup is permitted in the Teen division, and there are no specific restrictions on makeup styles. Contestants are encouraged to present themselves in a polished and confident manner, while still maintaining a look that is appropriate for their age.

Wardrobe, hair, and makeup should reflect good taste and confidence, allowing each contestant’s personality and stage presence to shine. Judges will be looking for contestants who appear confident, and comfortable on stage while showing their own unique style.

Just like the other divisions, there is no designated walking pattern in the gown competition. Contestants may walk in the style that is most comfortable for them, making this a great opportunity to practice for other pageant systems as well.
Most importantly, we want each contestant to enjoy the experience and represent the spirit of our system by remembering our motto:
“BEYOUtiful – Have Fun, Be Yourself, BeYOUtiful.”
No Competition Clause

The Miss United Southern States Pageant believes in supporting opportunities for our queens to grow, learn, and enjoy pageantry.

Titleholders are not restricted from competing in other pageant systems. Our queens are welcome to compete when and where they choose while holding their title.

There are no exclusivity requirements or long-term commitments placed on our winners. We encourage our queens to explore opportunities, gain experience, and enjoy their pageant journey while proudly representing the Miss United Southern States Pageant.

Attire

To maintain the family-friendly atmosphere of the Miss United Southern States Pageant, the following gown guidelines apply:

  • No plunging necklines

  • No high slits

  • No overly revealing cutouts

  • Gowns should be age appropriate and tasteful
