Miss United Southern States Pageant

Not every contestant lives in a state that currently hosts an official Miss United Southern States State Pageant. To make sure every girl still has the opportunity to compete, we offer Direct Entry opportunities for contestants who qualify.

Our goal is to make the Miss United Southern States system welcoming and accessible to girls across the Southern United States while continuing to grow our state programs.

Direct Entry contestants receive the same opportunity to compete at the National Pageant and are eligible for the same titles, prizes, and scholarships as contestants who win a state title.

Direct Entry is available to contestants who:

• Live in a state where a state pageant has not yet been established

• Live in a state where the state pageant has already taken place for the year

• Are invited to compete through one of our sponsored local pageants

• Receive an at-large invitation from the national office

This option ensures that talented contestants are never excluded simply because their state does not currently host a qualifying event.

Entering through Direct Entry is simple.

Step 1 — Complete the Entry Form

• Submit the National Pageant Entry Form to let us know you would like to compete.

Step 2 — Receive Your Invitation

• Once your entry is reviewed, you will receive a Direct Entry invitation from the national office confirming your participation.

Step 3 — Secure Your Spot

• Contestants will receive an invoice for the national entry fee, which may be paid through several convenient payment options such as Venmo, PayPal, or other payment platforms.

Once your entry fee is received, your place at the Miss United Southern States National Pageant will be officially confirmed.  

Direct Entry contestants compete on the same stage and under the same judging criteria as state titleholders.

All contestants are eligible to win:

• National titles

• Custom crowns and embroidered sashes

• Scholarships in eligible divisions

• Optional awards and special honors

• National recognition within the Miss United Southern States system

Every contestant is welcomed into our program with the same goal — to have fun, build confidence, and beYOUtiful.

As the Miss United Southern States Pageant continues to grow, additional state pageants will be added throughout the Southern region.

Many contestants who enter through Direct Entry may later become future state directors or state queens, helping us expand opportunities for girls in their home states.
