Competition Overview

All contestants will participate in Beauty / Evening Gown and the Opening Number, with an additional interview portion for older divisions at the National Pageant.

Our goal is to keep the system:

  • Easy to understand

  • Low-stress for families

  • Enjoyable for contestants of all experience levels

Ages Pre-K through Preteen

Required Competitions:

  • Beauty / Evening Gown

These divisions are designed to keep the experience fun, simple, and confidence-building for younger contestants.

Jr. Teen, Teen, Jr. Miss, Miss & Ms. Divisions

Required Competitions:

  • Opening Number

  • Beauty / Evening Gown

  • Interview (short and age-appropriate)

These divisions offer a more complete national experience while still maintaining a relaxed and encouraging environment.

Competition Details

Opening Number

  • A fun, choreographed group production number

  • Designed to kick off the competition and introduce contestants

  • Outfit details and simple choreography will be provided in advance

  • No prior dance experience required

  • Often sponsored by Marc Defang - no dress purchase required

Beauty / Evening Gown

  • The foundation of our system

  • Contestants present themselves in a gown that makes them feel confident and beautiful

  • No required walking pattern

​Interview (Older Divisions Only)

  • Short and relaxed format

  • Designed to build confidence, not create pressure

  • Judges are looking for personality, communication, and authenticity
