The Miss United Southern States National Pageant is designed to be simple, organized, and exciting, while offering an elevated national-level experience.

We have carefully created a format that allows contestants to shine, build confidence, and enjoy their time on stage—without unnecessary stress or long, complicated schedules.

Nationals is divided into scheduled sessions by age division to create a smooth and enjoyable experience.

• Each division competes in its own time block

• Crowning takes place immediately following each session

• No long wait times for contestants or families

At the national level, contestants are given additional opportunities to shine, while still maintaining the simplicity our system is known for.

Our younger divisions remain focused on a positive and confidence-building experience.

This allows younger contestants to enjoy the stage in a fun, low-pressure environment while building confidence.  Side competitions will be offered but are not required for the overall title.

Fun Fashion allows contestants to show their personality and have fun on stage in a high-energy setting.

Our older divisions are designed to offer a more elevated national experience while still remaining approachable and enjoyable.

The interview portion is designed to be a positive and confidence-building experience, giving contestants the opportunity to express themselves and connect with the judges.

At the national level, contestants may choose to participate in additional optional events.

These may include:

• Photogenic

• Talent

• Academic Achievement

• Volunteer Service (Presidential Award)

• Specialty awards and fun competitions

Optional competitions are scheduled separately and do not interfere with the main competition.

Our judging system is designed to be fair, balanced, and encouraging.

Judges will consider:

• Confidence and stage presence

• Overall appearance

• Personality and poise

Each phase of competition is designed to highlight a different strength, allowing contestants multiple opportunities to stand out.
