Age Divisions for Preteens

The Jr. Preteen and Preteen divisions of the Miss United Southern States Pageant are designed for contestants in 3rd through 6th grade during the time of the National Pageant. These divisions provide a supportive and exciting pageant experience where contestants can build confidence, develop stage presence, and enjoy time on stage with other girls their age.

In these divisions, contestants will compete for two Overall Queen titles as well as four Grade Level Queen titles, giving several contestants the opportunity to be recognized for their achievements.

Our goal in these divisions is to create a fun and encouraging environment where girls are reminded to have fun, be themselves, and beYOUtiful.

  • 3rd Grade:  Jr. Preteen

  • 4th Grade  Jr. Preteen

  • 5th Grade:  Preteen

  • 6th Grade:  Preteen

Pageant Rules

The Jr. Preteen and Preteen divisions of the Miss United Southern States Pageant are designed for contestants in 3rd through 6th grade during the time of the National Pageant. These divisions provide a supportive and exciting pageant experience where contestants can build confidence, develop stage presence, and enjoy time on stage with other girls their age.

In these divisions, contestants will compete for two Overall Queen titles as well as four Grade Level Queen titles, giving several contestants the opportunity to be recognized for their achievements.
For added comfort and confidence on stage, there is no designated walking pattern, allowing contestants to present themselves naturally and enjoy their time on stage.
Titleholders in the Miss United Southern States system have no required appearances, contracts, or exclusivity agreements. Contestants who win State or National titles are welcome to compete in other pageants at any time.
