No State Pageant?
No State Pageant? You Can Still Compete!
The Miss United Southern States Pageant is continuing to grow throughout the Southern region, and while many states already host official state competitions, some areas may not yet have an active state pageant.
The good news is that contestants can still qualify to compete at Nationals even if their state does not currently host a pageant. Our goal is to ensure that every eligible contestant has the opportunity to participate in the Miss United Southern States experience.
We offer several ways for contestants to compete while we continue expanding our state programs.
Option 1: Appointed State Titles
f a state pageant has not yet been scheduled in your area, contestants may be eligible to receive an appointed state title.
Appointed titleholders represent their state at the Miss United Southern States National Pageant just like contestants who win a live state competition. This allows contestants to proudly represent their state while helping us grow the program in new areas.
Appointed titles are limited and may be offered on a first-come basis depending on availability.
Option 2: Sponsored Local Pageants
n certain areas, we may sponsor or recognize local qualifying pageants that provide contestants with the opportunity to earn a title that advances to Nationals.
These events allow contestants to compete locally while still earning a place at the Miss United Southern States National Pageant.
Option 3: At-Large Entry
In some situations, contestants may also qualify through an at-large entry. This option allows contestants to enter the National Pageant even if there is no state pageant or qualifying event currently available in their state.
At-large opportunities help ensure that every contestant who wants to compete has a path to the national stage.
Represent Your State at Nationals
Whether you qualify through an appointed title, a sponsored pageant, or an at-large entry, contestants will still have the opportunity to represent their state at the Miss United Southern States National Pageant.
Each contestant becomes part of a welcoming and supportive pageant system that celebrates confidence, friendship, and the opportunity to shine on a national stage.
Our goal is to provide a prestigious national pageant experience with the warm feel of a hometown system, giving contestants across the South the opportunity to compete for beautiful crowns, custom sashes, recognition, and prizes.
