Scholarship Divisions

A New Design (47).jpg

Miss & Jr. Miss

The Junior Miss and Miss divisions represent the premier scholarship divisions of the Miss United Southern States Pageant. These divisions celebrate confident, accomplished young women who are ready to represent the values of our system while competing for scholarship opportunities.

  • 11th Grade: Junior Miss

  • 12th Grade:  Junior Miss

  • Collegiate:  Miss

  • Higher Education:  Miss

Two overall titles will be awarded along with three grade level titles.

Pageant Rules

Contestants in the Miss division are welcome to present themselves with their own personal style. Hair, makeup, and overall presentation are the contestant’s choice, allowing for a more glamorous and polished pageant appearance.

Beautiful pageant-glam gowns are welcome and encouraged in this division. Contestants may select the style that best represents them on stage.

While this division allows greater freedom in styling and wardrobe, the Miss United Southern States Pageant remains a family-friendly, PG-rated system. Contestants should keep this in mind when selecting their gown and overall appearance. We do not recommend plunging necklines, extremely high slits, or overly revealing styles, and all wardrobe choices should remain tasteful and appropriate for a family audience.

There is no required walking pattern for the competition. Contestants are free to model their gown in a way that feels natural and comfortable, making this a great opportunity to practice and prepare for other pageant systems.

Contestants are also welcome to compete in other pageant systems at any time. Our titleholders are not restricted and are encouraged to continue exploring opportunities that help them grow and gain experience.

Above all, contestants should enjoy the experience and remember our motto:
“BEYOUtiful – Have Fun, Be Yourself, BeYOUtiful.”
