Alabama Model America Titles (Optional Competition Jr. Princess and up)
Model America Participation Requirement
The Model America competition requires contestants to confidently walk the runway independently.
For this reason, the Beautiful Baby divisions do not participate in Model America.
If a contestant is age 3 and able to walk independently, she may move up for this competition only and compete in the Pre-K division.

Our Model America title is a fun, high-energy optional competition based on Denim & Bling wear only.

• One winner per session (not per grade level)

• Awarded as the second overall title pulled after the Overall Queens (before the grade level titles)

Each Model America winner receives:

• A crown and sash

• A teddy bear

This is a great opportunity for contestants to showcase personality, confidence, and style on stage!  
 
The Model America title is an optional competition based on Denim & Bling wear only and is traditionally awarded as the second title pulled following the Overall Queens.

Our Overall Queens have a full year of optional appearances and scheduled events, and holding both titles would not allow them to fully and successfully represent each role.  Miss Model America is growing and needs visibility.  

At this time, Model America is considered a separate title within a different system, and we are currently finalizing how it will align with our crowning structure.
We are reviewing:

• Whether the Model America title may be double crowned with a grade level title (we will ask parents for input)

• How this title will be handled in relation to USS Nationals participation and eligibility.  If the title is not double crowned, the winner would not have a title for the USS Nationals should they choose to compete.

• Rhinestone crown

• $100 off nationals (optional participation)

2nd After the State Title – Miss Gulf Coast

Awarded in each division:

• Ribbon sash

• Rhinestone crown

• Teddy bear

• $100 off nationals (optional participation)

Talent Winner

Talent winners are recognized per session unless we have multiple entries. These winners will receive a crown and sash since this title can be double crowned.  

Miss Photogenic/Portfolio Winner

Can be double crowned.  Prize will be announced soon.  

Cover Winner

One winner per session will appear on the full cover for most advertisements sold for our program booklet. Please see the advertisement page.  All proceeds (minus the cost of printing the booklet) will be used to fund our scholarship and travel fund.

Depending on the number of contestants, we often offer complimentary side awards such as:

• Prettiest Hair

• Brightest Smile

• Fashion Diva (Prettiest Dress)

With over 40 titles to award, our crowning process is designed to keep the event running smoothly and on schedule.

If we have a larger turnout, these side awards will be included at no additional cost as part of your entry fee.

Our goal is to recognize as many contestants as possible while maintaining an enjoyable and timely event experience for all families.  We truly believe that every contestant shines in her own way—most everyone is good at something, and these awards are a fun way to recognize those special qualities on stage.  We will announce this decision in our contestant group after the deadline passes.
